“Through this program, I have been able to connect with other students and health care professionals, especially those related to my field of choice. I have been reassured of my career path and now am taking the steps that are necessary in order to attend graduate school. I am sure that with much effort and the continual support of Allied Health, I will be able to accomplish great things!”

Allied Health has helped me tremendously in many different aspects. I started with the Allied Health Academy Spring Semester of 2017 at Cypress College. Through this program, I have been able to connect with other students and health care professionals, especially those related to my field of choice. I have personally benefited by the numerous friendships that have come from being involved in Allied Health. Having a circle of individuals who are aspiring for similar goals has been especially encouraging to me! One of the many advantages of being in the Allied Health was being able to participate in the Summer Bridge Program! They helped us in the transitioning process from a Community College to a University through the information we received from different speakers, lively activities and from the overall care and support of the staff. There are many opportunities to learn and grow from the Allied Health, and overall, I feel that any and every individual would benefit from being involved in a program such as this one! I have been reassured of my career path and now am taking the steps that are necessary in order to attend graduate school. I am sure that with much effort and the continual support of Allied Health, I will be able to accomplish great things!

For me, the Summer Bridge Program made my whole summer fun and it’s a day that I looked forward to during the summer. I’m usually a quiet and shy person but from attending the summer bridge program it pushed me out of my bubble. I was always on my comfort zone so I saw this as an opportunity to come out. As a result I met really great people that made my summer exciting and people that have helped me. Throughout the course of this program I've also learned so many things about different careers in the health field that gave me a wider range of choices about my major. It made it even more fun learning with everyone. We didn't realized that we're creating a bond that connected us with each other. Everywhere we go there’s something new to learn and to explore. There were a lot to learn from the guest speakers and from the field trips that we went to every Friday. I’m really grateful to this program, guest speakers, Allied Health Academy, and especially to Erin and Anna who made it possible for this first summer bridge program. Thank you.
